'Gold Grain'(GG) Rice is composed of Chinese rice(60%) and Thai rice(40%). The cost of Chinese rice is $5 per kg. The manufacturer marks a 5 kg bag og GG rice at $54 and makes a profit of 80%. Find the cost of a bag of GG Rice. Find the cost of Thai rice per kg.

Cost of 5KG GG Rice = $54/(1+80%) = $30 Cost per KG = $30 / 5 = $6 2. 5kg GG rice contains 60% Chinese rice = 5kg * 60% = 3kg Cost of Chinese rice in 5kg GG rice = $15 Cost of Thai rice in 5kg GG rice = $30-$15 = $15 Since 5kg GG rice contains 3kg Chinese Rice => Thai rice = 2kg Therefore Cost of Thai rice per kg = $15/ 2 = $7.5
